Important Notice
Please note: this is a new version of the SmartMove Website that has not yet been launched and is currently in development (as at October 2012). To keep updated with the SmartMove upgrade, click on the Site News Tab in the main menu.
A note on OSH, OH&S and WHS: Western Australia uses OSH in regards to its legislation and regulations, OH&S was previously the national term used, which has now been replaced with WHS, and is part of the national move towards harmonisation of work health and safety legislation. For the purpose of this website, WHS is used predominantly because the content is based around addressing the competency unit BSBWHS201A.
To access the current SmartMove site, please use the URL below:

If you have any questions about either site please contact the SmartMove Coordinator Niall Oman.
WorkSafe SmartMove is a work health and safety (WHS) educational resource for senior high school students and new young workers that are entering the workforce on a work placement, work experience, or as a school-based trainee/apprentice. The website is designed to address the national competency unit BSBWHS201A Contribute to Health & Safety of Self and Others. How the Safety Passport program addresses this competency unit can be found here.
The SmartMove Safety Passport and the SmartMove Certificate programs are both available on this site, with only the SmartMove Certificate requiring registration in order to record quiz results. The SmartMove Certificate is designed to be incorporated into the SmartMove Safety Passport program, (to be completed at any stage after lesson four of the Safety Passport program), or can be used as an assessment tool for other WHS educational programs. Simply select either of the options below to find out more about each, and begin your WHS education. Offline versions of the programs, and other educational resources, are available here to download and print.
